How to Create a Custom Word List

📖 Building a list from a book, article, or class notes

You don't have to retype vocabulary by hand. Any word or term extractor will do the job — we recommend the free Terminology Extractor at writeplain.com. It's free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser, so the text never leaves your computer.

1. 1Paste the chapter, article, or notes into the extractor. It groups word forms (run, running) into one entry and can hide very common words.
2. 2Trim the list to the words you actually want to practise, then click Copy as TXT.
3. 3Paste it into the Your words box in SpellCrush's Create New List screen and hit Parse words — missing definitions are filled in by AI.
