How do my kids log in?
Kids use a simple 4-digit PIN to log in - no email or complex passwords needed! You'll get a family link when you sign up that you can share with your children. They select their profile and enter their PIN to access their personalized practice.

How does the adaptive difficulty work?
SpellCrush automatically adjusts word difficulty based on your child's performance. Words are rated 1-10 in difficulty. As your child masters words at one level, they'll be introduced to more challenging words. Words they struggle with appear more frequently until mastered.
What's the difference between Practice and Assessment?
Practice mode helps your child learn with immediate feedback and hints. Assessment mode tests their knowledge without hints, tracking their progress over time. Use Practice for daily learning and Assessment to evaluate progress.
How are words selected for practice?
Our smart algorithm prioritizes words your child hasn't mastered yet, with more frequent appearances for challenging words. Words are spaced out for optimal retention - appearing again just before they're likely to be forgotten.
Can I add my own word lists?
Yes! Premium members can create custom word lists and upload spelling lists from school. You can also choose whether to use the standard word database or exclusively practice custom lists.

How does the reward system work?
Kids earn rewards for correct answers and maintaining practice streaks. Parents can choose between two reward modes: Money (dollars and cents) or Points (star-based system). Set up custom rewards in your Rewards Store that kids can redeem!
What are XP points and levels?
Every correct answer earns XP (experience points). As kids accumulate XP, they level up and unlock new titles like 'Word Apprentice' or 'Spelling Champion'. It's a fun way to track overall progress!
What are achievements?
Achievements are special badges earned for milestones like '10 Day Streak', 'First Perfect Assessment', or 'Speed Demon' (answering quickly). There are 15 achievements to unlock, encouraging different aspects of learning.
How do I create rewards?
Go to the Rewards Store from your parent dashboard. Create custom rewards like 'Extra screen time', 'Ice cream trip', or 'Choose dinner'. Set the cost in money or points, and kids can redeem them when they've saved enough!

How can I track my child's progress?
Click on any child's stats from your dashboard to see detailed progress including success rates, words mastered, recent practice history, achievement gallery, and redemption history. Charts show progress over time by difficulty level.
Can I have multiple children on one account?
Absolutely! Add as many children as you need. Each child gets their own profile, progress tracking, and personalized experience. They all share your family link but log in with their individual PINs.
What are Custom Word Lists? (Premium)
Premium members can create unlimited custom spelling lists. Upload your child's weekly spelling lists from school, create themed vocabulary sets, or build lists around specific topics. You can assign different lists to different children.
How do I share the family link with my kids?
From your dashboard, click 'Copy Link' to get your unique family link. Share it via text, email, or just bookmark it on your kids' devices. The link stays the same, so save it once and use it anytime!

What devices can we use SpellCrush on?
SpellCrush works on any device with a web browser - computers, tablets, iPads, Chromebooks, and smartphones. It's fully responsive and optimized for touchscreens.
Do kids need their own email address?
No! Kids log in using a simple 4-digit PIN. Only parents need an email address to create and manage the family account.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes! We take privacy seriously. We only collect necessary learning data to provide the service. Kids don't need emails, and all data is securely stored. We never share data with third parties.
Can I cancel my premium subscription anytime?
Yes! You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll retain premium access until the end of your billing period. Custom word lists become view-only after cancellation, but all progress data is saved.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click 'Forgot Password?' on the login page. Enter your email and we'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour for security.

My child forgot their PIN. What should I do?
From your parent dashboard, go to the child's profile and you can view or reset their PIN. Make sure to choose something memorable for them!
Words aren't being pronounced correctly. Help!
We use browser text-to-speech which can vary by device. If pronunciation is unclear, kids can always click to replay the audio or see the word's definition for context.
The practice session seems stuck. What do I do?
Try refreshing the page - progress is saved after each word. If issues persist, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. Contact support if problems continue.
